Where exactly is Little Venice? Italy? Of course, but there´s another one in Valencia, Spain.
This January I was walking around in Saplaya Port in Alboraya outside of Valencia where I used to live and just felt like in Venice in Italy! Incredible feeling!
I would never have expected this Italian touch in Spain. What a nice surprise it was for me!
They call it Little Venice for obvious reasons – just look at the pictures below. This palace is not well-known among tourists who usually visit La Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias or El Carmen in Valencia. Whenever you go there, it´s quiet, calm and lovely. You can have a coffee next to the port and listen to the sea waves. This little and charming port has stolen my heart.
I met there Maria and Sara, best friends from university and took some pictures for them to take advantage of the marvellous colours that this Little Venice that Alboraya shines out from! The colours, plants, boats and tiny paths make this place out of this world. And these happy faces prove it all.
I totally recommend this place for a morning coffee in the bars in the port or a sunset walk with your beloved ones. You will feel like in a fairy tale.
Curious how to get there? Send me a message and I´ll help you out!
